How to make reservations
Enright Gulch is located on a private road just off Highway 3, the Trinity National Scenic Byway, at the northern end of Trinity Lake, and about 2 miles north of Trinity Center. Travelers coming from Sacramento or the San Francisco Bay area take Interstate 5 north to Redding, and turn west on Highway 299. Then travel west into Weaverville (about 45 miles), and turn north on Highway 3 (we are about 32 miles north of Weaverville).
Travelers coming down Interstate 5 from Oregon or other points north can take the Highway 3 exit in Yreka. Enright Gulch is approximately 70 miles from Yreka.

Enright Gulch received its name when it was patented as a placer gold mine in 1877. During the construction of Trinity Dam in the late 1950s, houses from the small community of Stringtown (which was later buried under the waters of Trinity Lake) were moved onto the property and nestled among the cedar, fir and pines next to the small creek which flows through the area.
Trinity Lake, California's third largest reservoir, offers great swimming, fishing and boating. Within its 145 miles of shoreline are plenty of coves where one can retreat to experience the beauty and peace of the lake and the surrounding alps. Local marinas offer fishing and patio boats as well as mooring slips and mooring buoys for those who bring their own.
Just beyond the backdoor are the majestic Trinity Alps mountain range. Within a five-mile radius visitors can take the the Boulder Creek, Lake Eleanor and Swift Creek trailheads for dayhikes into the 500,000-acre Trinity Alps Wilderness.
Fishing. Less than one-half mile from Enright Gulch is the Carrville Dredger Pond. Fed by year-round springs, the pond is stocked regularly with rainbow trout and is open to fishing all year.
More adventurous anglers can fish for browns and rainbows, or largemouth
and smallmouth bass on Trinity Lake.
Fly anglers can test their skills on the main stem of the Trinity
River, on Lewiston Lake, and in several of the nearby mountain lakes.
Alpen Cellars, Trinity County's award-winning winery, is a short drive where visitors are always welcome for wine tastings with congenial host Mark Groves.
Other Activities include tennis, gold panning, bird watching, wildflower and wildlife viewing, bicycling and mountain biking, horseback riding, or simply communing with nature.
