Weaverville’s rich history is brought to life at theĀ Jake Jackson Memorial Museum, operated by the Trinity County Historical Society.

Discover the methods used to mine gold, ranging from simple pans to powerful monitors, used to wash away hillsides, and stamp mills used to crush gold ore. The spacious museum grounds include a history park, where you can explore a ditchtenders cabin, blacksmith, tinshop and stamp mill. Each year, blacksmiths from around the country gather to share skills at the Hammer-In.
